Tara received her medical degree from Razi University and completed her doctoral studies at McGill University under the guidance of Dr. Maurice Chacron in the field of Systems Neuroscience. Subsequently, she pursued her postdoctoral research at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI), Janelia Research Campus, working with Dr. Nelson Spruston. Later, she continued her postdoctoral work in the laboratories of Dr. Urban at the University of Pittsburgh.
